challenge for watercolour in the 21st century The Royal Watercolour Society Open exhibition was re-launched with the aim of encouraging not only excellence in watercolour painting, but also innovation and a fresh approach in the use of this traditional medium. 21st Century Watercolour offers all watercolour painters the opportunity of exhibiting in a high profile London Gallery under the umbrella of the country’s oldest and most distinguished art societies. This year's competition has taken place and pictures selected for the exhibition are on show at Bankside Gallery from 10 February until 5 March 2006. |
