 The fascinating thing about 
watercolour painting 
is the search for balance between the intention 
of the artist 
and the alchemy 
of the process 
when paint is touching 
the paper. 
 To explore this alchemy and experience the thrill 
of unexpected results 
is what I like most 
about painting. 
It is  only me and the brush, water and colours 
to negotiate with 
the nature of reality and 
the nature of the mind.
